Manchester Super Giants have been crowned champions of The Hundred 2026 after defeating Trent Rockets by five wickets in a thrilling final at Lord’s, securing the franchise’s maiden men’s title.

A sensational chase, led by Tim Seifert, and a superb bowling performance from Noor Ahmad and Sonny Baker helped the Super Giants cap a remarkable campaign with silverware.

After being asked to bat first, Trent Rockets posted 158 for eight from their 100 balls. Noor Ahmad was the standout performer with the ball, producing a brilliant spell of three for 33 to repeatedly break the Rockets’ momentum. The Afghan spinner’s control through the middle phase kept Manchester firmly in the contest, while Sonny Baker provided crucial support with two for 34.

Chasing 159 for the title, the Super Giants exploded out of the blocks. Tim Seifert produced a fifty worthy of the occasion, smashing a magnificent 72 from just 38 balls. The Kiwi opener attacked from the outset, racing to his half-century in only 23 balls and clearing the ropes seven times. His fearless innings put Manchester firmly in control and gave the chase a dream start.

Seifert received valuable support from Leus du Plooy, who struck 27 from 18 balls to keep the momentum going.

With the equation tightening, Liam Dawson stepped up when it mattered most, striking the decisive six, sending the Super Giants to 162 for five with two deliveries remaining and sparking unforgettable celebrations at Lord’s.

For his outstanding batting, Seifert was named the Player of the Match and also the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

From the opening game to the final, the Super Giants showed resilience, belief and togetherness. Now, they have the trophy to show for it.
