Manchester Super Giants are through to the men’s final of The Hundred 2026 after a brilliant all-round performance secured a 20-run victory over SunRisers Leeds in a thrilling Eliminator at The Kia Oval.

A sensational 114-run partnership between Paul Walter and Heinrich Klaasen powered the Super Giants to a formidable total before Josh Tongue produced a match-winning spell to send the Super Giants through to Lord’s.

After being asked to bat first, MSG recovered strongly from an early setback.

Paul Walter took charge of the innings with a magnificent 80 off 46 balls, combining power and composure to keep the scoreboard moving. At the other end, Heinrich Klaasen produced another masterclass in power hitting, smashing 63 from just 26 deliveries. The pair tore into the SunRisers Leeds’ bowling attack, putting together a spectacular partnership that transformed the innings.

Their efforts propelled Manchester Super Giants to an imposing 186 for four from their 100 balls, setting the SunRisers Leeds a daunting target in the pressure of a knockout game.

With a place in the final on the line, the Super Giants’ bowlers delivered when it mattered most. Josh Tongue was the standout performer, producing a devastating spell of four for 26. His ability to strike at crucial moments repeatedly disrupted the SunRisers Leeds’ chase and earned him the Player of the Match award.

Sonny Baker provided excellent support with the ball, while Liam Dawson’s control and experience ensured the pressure never eased. Despite moments of brilliance from Harry Brook and Ryan Rickelton, the Super Giants kept finding breakthroughs at key moments and eventually restricted the SunRisers Leeds to 166 for seven, completing a hard-earned 20-run victory.

The result caps a remarkable turnaround for the Super Giants, who have now earned their place in the biggest game of the men’s competition.
