Manchester Super Giants have confirmed the coaching teams that will lead the men's and women's squads during The Hundred 2026, bringing together a wealth of international experience ahead of its inaugural campaign under the new identity.
Justin Langer, who serves as the head coach with the Lucknow Super Giants, will take charge in Manchester as the men's head coach and Matthew Mott will be the women's head coach.
They will now be supported by a distinguished group of coaches with proven success across international and franchise cricket.
Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, already a part of the Super Giants family, joins the men's side as batting coach. An all-time top run-getter for the Kiwis, Williamson also brings exceptional tactical knowledge, leadership and vast experience from the international game.
The women's batting group will be led by Tom Smith, who joins Matthew Mott's coaching team to help develop one of the competition's most exciting squads.
Meanwhile, Chris Silverwood has been appointed pace bowling coach for the men's team. Silverwood's extensive coaching resume includes guiding England across formats, while his expertise in developing fast bowlers has earned widespread recognition too.
For the women's side, former England spinner Danielle Hazell, a three-time Ashes winner, will oversee the pace bowling unit, adding further international experience to an already accomplished coaching group.
England legend Sarah Taylor has been named women's fielding coach. One of the greatest wicketkeepers in the history of the game, Taylor's expertise in fielding, wicketkeeping and elite performance will provide invaluable guidance to the squad.
The men's fielding coach will be Ryan Cook, whose coaching experience spans international cricket and franchise competitions around the world.
Spin bowling across both the men's and women's teams will be overseen by Carl Crowe, one of the game's most highly regarded spin coaches. Crowe has worked with several successful international and domestic teams, including the other two Super Giants’ teams, building a reputation for developing world-class spin bowling units.
The coaching appointments complement an experienced leadership group as Manchester Super Giants look to make an immediate impact in The Hundred.
