The Manchester Super Giants have officially named New Zealand cricket icon Kane Williamson as the men's batting coach for the upcoming season of The Hundred. His addition to the coaching staff is expected to inject a deep tactical edge and a proven championship mindset into the dugout.

Transitioning from a legendary playing career to the coaching staff, Williamson brings an elite, world-class understanding of the game. During his time on the pitch, he established himself as a modern-day batting maestro, accumulating over 19,000 international runs and earning global respect for his astute, deeply analytical captaincy.

Williamson has already been an integral part of the Super Giants setup - He serves as the strategic advisor for the Lucknow Super Giants, and is a part of the Durban’s Super Giants squad since 2025.

Famous for his ice-cool temperament in high-stakes situations, Williamson's leadership capabilities are perhaps best highlighted by his crowning achievement in 2021. He brilliantly guided New Zealand to the inaugural World Test Championship title, anchoring a tense final innings with a resilient, unbeaten half-century to secure his nation's first major ICC trophy in over two decades.

Renowned for his sharp cricketing acumen and calm presence under pressure, Williamson has demonstrated his ability to deliver results consistently at the highest level.

On his appointment as the men’s batting coach, Williamson said:
